General Information:
The HydroBlend units are designed with simplicity and practicality in mind. There are no settings needed, no electricity required, and no guess work in when the cartridges need replacement. When applied correctly, HydroBlend units will consistently feed product over the life of the cartridge. A simple glance at the housing lets one know when replacement it needed. All of the systems come in clear or translucent housings (except the HBW). The product will slowly dissolve over time, and cartridge changes take a couple of minutes.
Each of the units come complete with delivery head, housing, cartridge, and mounting bracket. The twin or triple assemblies which incorporate prefilters are supplied with extra replacement sediment cartridges, a filter wrench, and ball valves.
HydroBlend is available in different blends depending on water treatment parameters. The HW is tailored more towards scale prevention and the CW more towards corrosion control. If not specified, the HW will be the blend used. All blends will handle scale, corrosion, and staining, however, for most effective treatment, please specify blend.
Most important when using HydroBlend products is correct Sizing & Application. If there are any questions concerning the correct unit to use, please contact SFES and customer service will be able to help in any application. Remember, SFES is a custom house manufacturer. The HydroBlend systems allow for flexibility and customization to fit almost any application. If needed, SFES will customize your system to special applications.
APPLICATIONS:
| SC-605 The 40,000 gallon water volume treated is ideal for small commercial applications, foodservice applications, and residential applications. It is primarily used in residential applications where a replacement cartridge will last approximately 8 to10 months depending on water usage characteristics. The SC-605 is ideal for any commercial or foodservice application where the water flow rate averages 1-5 gpm and does not exceed 20 gpm. If the average flow rate is below 1 gpm, use the ScaleStick. |

| SC-610 The 80,000 gallon water volume treated is ideal for small commercial and food service applications. It is primarily used in applications where the water flow rate averages 3-7 gpm and does not exceed 20 gpm. It is not used much in residential applications since water flow rates rarely exceed 5 gpm. The higher flow rates are required in order to use the entire cartridge. |

| HBW The HBW is used in hot water feed applications where the incoming feed water is heated. This unit is used in foodservice applications after the hot water heater and before the booster heater feeding the dishwasher. It is the only unit which is not available in a clear housing. When possible, use a SC-610 on the hot water heater feed line. This will protect not only the booster heater and dishwasher, but the hot water heater as well, and will allow for visual checks of the product level. |

| SC-1.0 / SC 1.5 These units are for commercial and industrial applications where high water usage is expected and flow rates average a minimum of 7.5 gpm. The 500,000 gallons of water treated allows for less frequent cartridge changes. Commercial boiler, cooling tower, and foodservice applications are ideal for these units. Commercial landscape irrigation applications where iron & manganese staining is occurring is another application for these units due to the large water volume and high flow rates. Maximum flow rates depend on water pressure and in/out size (1" or 1½"). Please observe the minimum average flow rates for these units. Treat the water flow rate, not the line size. Just because the line size is 2", does not mean that the flow rate equals the minimum water flow rate required. |

| SCALESTICK The ScaleStick was developed to meet the needs a variety of low flow applications. It offers an effective, low cost treatment for steamers, combi-ovens, coffee & espresso equipment, ice machines, distillers, misting systems, and R.O. membranes. It is used where average water flow rates are less than 1 gpm and do not exceed 5 gpm. The ScaleStick was designed to fit most standard 10" housings and treats roughly 5,000 gallons depending on water usage characteristics. It is ideal for existing systems such as R.O.s which have a pre-filter housing but need scale protection as well as sediment filtration. The ScaleStick can be placed in the pre-filter housing and if needed, a special wrap-around removable pre-filter or carbon block can be added. |

| FA-605TW This is a twin system with the pre-filter
before the SC-605. Same applications as the SC-605 but used where sediment filtration is
desired. SC-605 with two pre filters (20 & 5 micron). FA-610TW , FA-610STW, FA610-EHT-TW Please refer to the FA-605TW . The same as theSC-610 except instead of a SC-605, a SC-610 is used. |
